Is Spoyla free?
Yes — completely free. Creating wishlists, adding items, sharing with friends, coordinating gifts, joining groups, tracking events — all of it. No paywalls, no "premium tier" to unlock basic features, no trial periods. You get the full experience from day one.
How is Spoyla different from other wishlist apps?
Most wishlist apps let you save items and share a list. Spoyla goes further with universal URL scraping from any website, built-in gift coordination so friends can mark items without spoiling surprises, sizing profiles, events and reminders, and groups with granular permissions. We're not just a wishlist — we're a gifting platform.
What devices and platforms does Spoyla work on?
Spoyla is available on iOS, Android, and the web. Your wishlists sync seamlessly across all your devices.
How does the URL scraping work? Can I add items from any website?
Yes. Copy any product URL from any website — big retailers, small boutiques, international stores, Etsy shops, anywhere — and paste it into Spoyla. Our system automatically extracts the product name, image, and price to create a clean item card on your wishlist. If a website doesn't play nicely with our scraper, you can always add items manually.
Can my friends see what's being bought for me?
No — and that's by design. When friends view your wishlist, they can see all your items and mark what they're planning to buy. They can see each other's reservations to avoid duplicates. But you, the wishlist owner, see none of this. The surprise is always preserved.
Can someone view my wishlist without a Spoyla account?
Yes. You can generate a public share link that anyone can open in their browser — no account, no download required. This is useful for sharing with extended family, colleagues, or anyone who isn't on Spoyla yet.
How do I add my clothing sizes?
Go to your Profile and tap on the Sizing section. You can add sizes for shirts, trousers, shoes, hats, rings, and more. Each size has an optional notes field where you can add preferences like "prefer oversized fit" or "EU sizing." Your friends can check your sizes anytime before buying you clothes.
What are Events and how do birthday reminders work?
Spoyla has a built-in events calendar. When your friends add their birthday to their profile, it automatically appears on your home dashboard as the date approaches. You can also create custom events and Spoyla comes pre-loaded with global public holidays and international observances.
How do Groups work?
Groups let you pool multiple wishlists into one shared view. Create a group for your family, your friend circle, your office — whatever makes sense. Add members with different permission levels. Everyone's wishlists live in one place.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We don't sell your data. Your wishlists, sizing information, and personal details are yours. We use industry-standard security practices to keep your information protected.
I found a bug / something isn't working. What do I do?
Email us at support@spoyla.com with a description of what happened, what device and app version you're using, and a screenshot if possible. We take every report seriously and typically respond within 48 hours.
